I’m a photography-based artist from Hangzhou, China, currently based in New York. My work spans photography, photo installations, and video, which primarily focuses on the language of Objects through Space Observation, examining human external and internal perceptions. During the pandemic, amid significant changes in living and my relocation to New York, I began exploring how humans are situated in urban and natural spaces. Over the past few years, my practice has been transitioning and mainly centering on studies of imagery medium investigating natural connections, phenomena, and perspectives.

Through unplanned wanderings in global urban and natural spaces, I observe the phenomena of objects and see how they influence, sense, and interact with each other while remaining independent. Influenced by the observational methods of academic drawing and painting, I capture and study the phenomena from qualities such as color, shadow, form, and shape, examining our perceptions in the context of the data-driven flow of images. Through natural connections, I use a photo to read a photo and Objects to read Objects. By re-examining the process of image creation, I’m trying to weave a new experience of perception - observing, reading, speaking, and listening as a means to deepen the understanding of the Objects and the World.
